America's Lifeblood

To all you governors out there
   Who won't let citizens choose
How to conduct their daily lives
   Midst these pandemic blues

I've written a little poem
   Especially for you
I hope that you'll read it
   'Cos it's 100% true:

America's lifeblood
   Small businesses
   Locked down tight
Politicians' mandates
   Have bid them goodnight

I feel sorry for the small business owners. Black Friday this year was bleak Friday. I have no idea why we are mandating anything. This is our first pandemic and we are obvious no experts. A timely write.

And how 'bout Cuomo's order in New York reg. Thanksgiving. He's worse than Big Brother, methinks. :) gw
