America I Love You

AMERICA I LOVE YOU America, I love to see your vales and hills and trees; As o’er your land I walk and drive your beauty amazes me. The fall when leaves are turning, the winter, and the spring, The summer, too, so warm and bright when birds so gaily sing. America, I know one day your people feared the Lord, And in the schools they would allow the reading of God’s word. But slowly you’re ignoring this God you once believed, Replacing Him with new age thoughts so easily received. America, I pray for you that you will mend your ways And somehow you’ll return again to those old-fashioned days. I fear God soon will judge you for violence and crime, So come back home, America, while God still gives you time. These words written to “Oh Little Town Of Bethlehem.”
