America

Thought you folks might like to read this. Someone sent it in an email to me.

The following is a poem written by Judge Roy Moore from Alabama . Judge Moore was sued by the ACLU for displaying the Ten Commandments in his courtroom foyer. He has been stripped of his judgeship and now they are trying to strip his right to practice law in Alabama ! The judge's poem sums it up quite well.

America the beautiful,
or so you used to be.
Land of the Pilgrims' pride;
I'm glad they'll never see.

Babies piled in dumpsters,
Abortion on demand,
Oh, sweet land of liberty;
your house is on the sand.

Our children wander aimlessly
poisoned by cocaine
choosing to indulge their lusts,
when God has said abstain

From sea to shining sea,
our Nation turns away
From the teaching of God's love
and a need to always pray

We've kept God in our
temples, how callous we have grown.
When earth is but His footstool,
and Heaven is His throne.

We've voted in a government
that's rotting at the core,
Appointing Godless Judges;
who throw reason out the door,

Too soft to place a killer
in a well deserved tomb,
But brave enough to kill a baby
before he leaves the womb.

You think that God's not
angry, that our land's a moral slum?
How much longer will He wait
before His judgment comes?

How are we to face our God,
from Whom we cannot hide?
What then is left for us to do,
but stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children,
will humbly turn and pray;
Seek His holy face
and mend our evil way:

Then God will hear from Heaven;
and forgive us of our sins,
He'll heal our sickly land
and those who live within.

But, America the Beautiful,
If you don't - then you will see,
A sad but Holy God
withdraw His hand from Thee..

This is exactly what is happening in the United Socialist States of America. Liberal "leadership" is destroying us.

i was living in alabama while this was going on. glad you put this here. they say His sheep can hear His voice. and i heard some but not all. the writer has joined himself to a crowd of imposters who claim to worship God. namely the republicans.

I cant see how anyone can be upset with someone diplaying the ten commandments or a cross or the word God. It simply cannot happen. When did we become a nation of wimps where everything offends us. Great write

Elizabeth this is truly wonderful. Hope this goes down in History and is read in classrooms for posterity. Can't understand what's going on myself but they really are trying to exempt God from our land and even make it illegal to worship Him. We have to stand and fight this cancer before it spreads and kill it. God Bless, JB

OMG, this is so true that it gave me chills, Elizabeth. The halls of Congress have christian images. I'm outraged that Judge Moore was not allowed to display the 10 Commandments. Even if you're not christian, they are rules by which to live. Incredible poem! Love, Carolyn

I have to agree with the Mad Poet on this one, we are in end times, and prayer is all that will save us from the god-less ones

This is a timely write indeed.But I think these phenomena are now common to the whole world....there is an erosion in human morality through out the world...we can only hope for a better world....

We are in the last days Elizabeth and the devil is on a rampage to steal the last souls before he is destroyed. It is up to us now to keep the faith. A beautiful but sad poem

WoW!! On a score from 1 to 7 this rates a 20! It's all so very true. It's written in the Bible that when a nation turns away from God He will turn away from them; but if that nation turns from it's wicked ways and repents and asks forgiveness then God will hear from Heaven and restore everythoing He once bestowed upon them. Oh if only we will hear. Amen and Amen. God Bless, JB
