America

America the beautiful
Is what some might say
But if we look at ourselves
I think the beautiful has gone away

Morality
Has become the punch line to a joke
Conviction washed away
In one fatal stroke
All these policies
Designed to separate
Too many people
Attempting to spread the hate
Taking God
Out of everyone’s mind
Breaking the very faith
That history used to bind
Faith to bring us all together
To give us hope for tomorrow
Now all you see
Is tragedy and sorrow
We can change, there’s still time
The cup is still half full
Lets take the future
And bring us back
To America the beautiful

The End
