Amen

Oh Lord, the nullifying captor is Amen,
that one line last would leave thee as a friend,
I err in countenance, tossed grievous send
monopolizing nothing begs for tend!

Outweighs the choice, on destiny depends
and leeches voice to sanction its befriend!
The Wedding garment chosen by extend
a Bride of Christ enclosed in apprehend!

The Saint's the garment, no more lone pretend
infinity the reason ~ love's commend
the wound the tatter we to cover, mend
the prayer but space, the earth but comprehend!

No closure to identify as then
in mercy reconcile ~ Christ's come again!

"Amen," Paula! Great use of imagery. I think this poem is quite timely now, as Easter approaches. Love, Carolyn
