Amberfest Ambiance

       Amberfest Ambiance

Ah, the orange-gold, I behold in things,
Such as the amber, in my wedding ring.
Invitation to a classic, zesty brunch.
Heart-pounding for this splendiferous lunch.

Let's begin shall we, with aromatic toast,
Slathered with orange jam and golden,
Hawaiin honey.(Tis the most)
Gratefully, we do have enough money,
To eat oudoors, and the Pacific Coast is a honey.

Oh, my eager taste buds start to roast!
Eggs Benedict with perfect golden orbs!
Having breakfast on the azure Pacific Shore.
How could I ask, for anything more?

The scent of fresh California orange juice,
In an amber goblet, ah, turn it loose!
This is my divine amberfest breakfast.
Divinity~full of color and golden pizazz!.
So very blessed and extraordinarily, first class!

Your poem is popping with colors and flavors, scenes and smells. Everything you've written here is a magnet for the senses! (meanwhile I'm filling the woodstove with logs which is a pretty good sun backup)

Hi David! Love the idea of a woodstove and, ahh,,,that scent! Glad you pointed out the specifics in my poem that stood out for you. It is a great reminder to use more in future poetry! Warmish here, and living in a nutty state that clamps down on all things that a human enjoys. More like a jail we even have the water police here! I remeber when CA allowed freedom of choice and speech. Not anymore ..waiting for Goebbels to come back to life,,golly! Maybe one day CA will be . Sad to see it grow worse each year.. Hugs,Pangie xx

I am all for Italian and French cooking, but the evil one sent me some diabetes. I have to be careful.

Panagiota, What a pleasure for all palates in 'Amberfest Ambiance'. Your Rhyme fairly sings with a jaunty zest. Enjoyed this brunch with orange jam & Hawaiian honey; life's best in fine company. -Richard

LOL Paula! It makes me hungry as well. Kind of a unique poem! Speaking of food, I can never write a Halibun because as a child, I was forced to eat halibut every Friday and I hated it, I just thought I’d come out of the closet and tell Poets why I never write a halibun.. ))) I didn’t know that a Monoku is simply a One line Haiku. I never heard it descibed that way..we follow rules for Haikus here, but not Monokus?)) Hope you have a great day,my friend. Huggs,Pangie xx Thank you, Paula, Pangie xx
