Ambassador To Man
purple, black and darker
than the night,
safe, within the walls
of introversion,
the soul of man sleeps
in fear of light,
as empty eyes keep vigil
over life
idly reflecting back
celestial light
as if the soul, might still
inspired...
arise,
to interchange with man's
insipid mind.
but, long mired deep
in langorous defeat
the old ambassador
who strove in vain
to teach
has ceased his thrashing
and remains asleep
