Amaryllis Flower

Despite my ravishing hunger
I am ever so full
The barrage of rolling thunder
Joins the moaning of the ghoul

The sun is blocked by clouds
The fog obscures my sight
While my soul is filled with doubts
I refuse to see the light

But the sun peeks through and shines
Despite the tyrant storm
My amaryllis flower
Of my soul has just been born

We have had some weather that could bring down spirits that is for sure so I am glad that your Amaryllis is born . Keep the metaphoric pen flowing. Sara
