Am I Alive

My hands are searching for you
My thoughts will linger on you.
I feel you on me fingertips
Your name dances behind my lips.

This fire burns throughout my being
Your presence I'm not used to seeing.
The angels tell me I'm alone with you
I'm alone and they all choose you.
Am I alive?

Your arms wrap around me
And you whisper you love me.
This water is so unforgiving
Clawing into a heart that's missing.
Am I alive?

Farther down I drift
I pray your blow swift.
Take my hand, I give it to you.
I give it to you, all I am.
Am I alive?

You told me you would never leave me
And I believe you, I believe.
You say it'll be alright
But I just want to give up the fight.
Am I alive?
