Alzheimers
Alzheimers---A poem written for my mother
She see's her shadow on the wall
but she knows not who this
person is at all
at times she does not know her name
as she thinks ,am I going insane?
for now her life seem so strange
but she thinks tomorrow other day
maybe she will wake up and
know the right way
her world now seems up side down
sometimes she can't remember
her family or her town
the 2014 calendar she hung up new
but she still think she is
living in 1942
But that can't be right she 83
so see how mixed up she is to
you and me,
again she see's her shadow on the wall
but she still don't know this person at all
the test says it Alzhheimers
the doctor calls it this name
but I think it just something
taking away my mom brain
God please take hold of my mom hand
she getting older and starting
to walk in a different kind of land
So guide her when she
don't know her self
for here on earth her body only a shell
because when she go to heaven
you'll know my mama
very well
