Always Close

29.05.2008

Maybe our roads are long apart,
Maybe there's nothing left to say -
Still - we are always close at heart
Though old and tired
Though far away.

Surely the tears that I've once dried
Left my unfailing fingertips -
Still - we are always close at heart
And you're the one I truly miss.

Forgive me that I ever ask
But I just cannot help my soul -
Will you be here when days are last
And I set off
To Fields of Gold?
