Always Be Kind
He may have held the gun
Still she was accomplice to pulling the trigger
After everything she had said and done
Entrapped, she became his toxic grave digger
Her colors shown true
In the midst of everyone else's pain
She turned away the cleaning crew
No guilt remorse or shame in her venomous veins
His desperate plea for help was answered by his cousin's aide
He put the gun down and turned to walk away
She came back spouting words cutting deeper than a blade
Within a flash it was a pool of his own blood in which he laid
At his funeral she didn't shed a single tear
Still, it doesn't bring him back placing blame
Several are lost without him here
Many will never be the same
In the heat of a moment it's easy to spout cruel words
Be careful in what you choose to say
A difference your voice could someday make and be the last one heard
Always be kind, life's too short to live in regret each day
