Always and Forever

I have loved you for so long
And a new year will now begin
Please take all I have to offer you
My heart my soul and love without end

Keep me wrapped up in your love
For I will be home soon my dear
To honor the promises I made
As we begin yet another year

I shall love you for all time
For better or worse we once said
And only in death do we part
Are promises made when we wed.

In sickness and in health we pledged
Knowing our love would hold
For I am yours and you are mine
Always and forever as we grow old

And when it is time for us to go
Let us hope we go together
And we both arrive at heaven’s door
Together hand in hand always and forever

Beautiful. Marriage is a sacred bond that too many people take lightly. It's refreshing to hear a poem that honours that commitment.
