Alone Without You

Without you my nights have no meaning. Without you, it’s hard to smile. So, I wait here alone and without you Till we’re together again for a while. Only sadness, in being without you, Is the feeling I know here alone. If you could only be with me, To a diamond, I’d change from a stone.

This is a very touching, heartfelt, and sorrowful poem, Jake. And, it is surely one that I can relate to. Great writing, as always!..This is very similar to a poem that I have just finished writing with Isaiah Zerbst, for the "Team Work" contest. It is based on a painting, "The Signal", by William Powell Frith. We will be posting it soon...Thank you so much for the great comments on "Frozen Raindrops"!
