Alone This Time

Words break against the walls of deaf ears,
leaving loneliness as my one true love.
Tears stain my too human cheeks,
while I beg and plead to heaven above.

My single voice marks my journey,
as my broken heart wanders alone.
Life shows me visions of pain,
a world of sorrow, and a silent phone.

I spent a lifetime searching for someone,
but I failed to see the seed of hope.
Threads of dreams fade like a heartbeat,
leaving sadness as my soul's frail rope.

I follow the path of human loneliness,
for time wears down my human sight.
I live my life alone this time,
finding solace in the sleep of night.
