Alone This Christmas

December twenty fifth, Christmas,

Time for close family and friends,

Unless your on your own alas,

No presents, and no cards to send,

It's Just another day, no frills,

I have got the television,

Chicken soup, my usual pills,

What to watch, a hard decision,

I'll listen to radio two,

Thoughts of happy years gone by,

So much fun I had when with you,

Now it's just myself to rely.
