Alone In the Snow
People demanded the snow
The close compelled this winter to grow
My little heart wanted to run
And now my love has frozen the sun
Passive eyes dance with the night
I look away then look around for some light
My little soul can’t bear all this pain
And so I search, and so I remain
Stolen rights, dying despair
My empty eyes have been forced to stare
I gave away the remnants of life
In turn I found this painful insight
Freezing arms that glow to maintain
A gentle look that needs me to stay
My little heart shivers for love
But when I’m bled I am given up
I learn to smile despite all that’s said
I still spread life, I still hold my breath
My little soul still tries to say
Perhaps the snow will make way for the day
