Alone and Confused
Lost in this forest alone and confused,
wandering aimlessly searching my way;
seeking some comfort forever bemused,
darkness surrounds me and causes dismay.
Look to the heavens I can’t see the sky;
wonder right now if it’s day or it’s night.
Trudging along as the shrews pass me by;
have no direction and nothing seems right.
Gone is the gladness that I used to know;
life was so easy, I had not a care.
Missing the playgrounds were we used to go;
wondering why life just seems so unfair.
I will keep searching and looking for love,
though I am so lonely and feeling quite used.
I will keep praying for strength from above;
meanwhile I wander alone and confused.
