Alone

Cacophony of sound
Breaks through my penetrable wall
My mind still reeling
From the dreams of the night
Leave me be
Surely you can see

I’m alone, even though not on my own

Mundane daily tasks
Force me to clear my mind
Of the heaven and hell my dreams inspire
Knowing there’s no escape
To be found while I’m still here
I yearn to be happy and free
Alive again without the pain
Of knowing I’ve lost me and

that I’m alone, even though not on my own

Reaching out is all I can do
But coming up short again and again
Breaks me and my resolutions wane
Somehow courage must be found
To deal with the fact that

I’m alone, even though not on my own

This is written in Bop format which is not an option to chose from
