Alone

You really did a bang up job
Acting like some brainless blob
When everyone you knew just said
Come on let's go
With deaf ears
You just said no
You never cared to make new friends
You never even amends
You let close friends just come and go
Right down the drain
Like water
They would flow
Who needs friends in any case
They want your time
And crowd your space
So who's to blame for all your strife
Who kept you from enjoying life
So better to go on alone
No more ringing
On your phone
Someday maybe stop and think
How life went by
In just a blink
By yourself you thought you'd stay
Now you simply rue that day
