Alone

Keeping my head above water
                                                Feeling tried and tired
                                       Life changes and we deal with losses
                                                  Flirting with quitting
                                                   Destination unsure
                                     Trails unlit, twisted, navigating is difficult
                                          Surrounded by liars and deceivers
                                              Character building experience
                                               Need a shoulder to lean on
                                      A hand to hold, to guide, to embrace
                                                           But all fails
