Alone

The darkness comes to beckon
As I turn to shut the door
The world is at my feet but I dont
Know what to use it for
Spiders spin their webs across
The corners of my mind
Staring into space looking for
What I'll never find

Alone
Defeated by my past
You never let go
Fright defies the shadow you cast
Summon the valor to dig my grave
For forgiveness that I never gave
Alone

Shifting winds don't touch my face
Immortal veins I can't erase
Dread leads to my seeming disgrace
As I ride to end myself

Alone
Enraged by our past
I never let it go
Fright defies the shadow we cast
Summon the valor to dig my grave
For understanding that I never gave
Alone
