Alone

In my darkened quiet room
I lay here all alone
no one here beside me
no one on the phone

My own hand wipes my tears
because there’s no one else around
my head hits my hands
my knees hit the ground

Loneliness is painful
it’s dark, cruel, and cold
it slowly scars your mind
it gets deep inside your soul

It’s like a field with missing flowers
it’s like a sky with darkened clouds
it’s like a never ending ocean
it’s like your screaming with no sound

There’s no one here beside me
I’m completely on my own
you can’t imagine how this hurts
to be this alone
