Alone

   Sally stood alone,
In a corner of the room.
   No one said "Hi",
Or asked her to stop by.
Sally started the fourth grade today,
   No one looked friendly,
   Or even looked her way.

A nice write Kim, sadly I see it everywhere I happen to look, and so I pray for change. Have a wonderful day.

I have found that helping children be a part of something with peers works to move them forward toward friends. Thank you so much for acknowledging my writing and recognizing the children who are on the margins.

I imagine that 'Sally' resonates with many, many kids (from 8 to 80) on this planet of ours...

I think your right, school just started in our area a couple of days ago. Everyone went with high spirits, and a few came home very sad.
