Alone

I've never felt so alone, Life came crashing down around me, Thought I was building with the stone, Turns out it was wet and sandy. I've never felt so alone. Isolated in my own life, Tossed aside by my wife, Nothing I can do to change this, Hole in my chest , like a black abyss. Empty chasm, broken heart, Once a family, fell apart. I've never felt so alone. How did I end up here, All a lie, now so clear, I want to crawl inside a hole, Alone, in darkness, a broken soul. How does a man go on? Nowhere to go, no destination in sight, A man alone, his future gone, He gave his all, and has lost his fight. I've never felt so all alone.

Hello Daniel, your raw outpouring of loneliness and despair cuts straight to the core. The visceral imagery of a "black abyss" and "broken soul" conveys profound desolation. I liked how you poignantly capture the shattering pain of lost love, shattered dreams, and an uncertain future alone. This achingly vulnerable piece will touch anyone who has grieved. Your ability to express such deep emotion through verse is a true gift. A powerful, haunting work. - Blessings, Daniel
