Almost the End of the Road

Doesn't seem
   to matter to you
 that your friend is dying
    you didn't seem to care
about what was
    happening to him
you didn't know what must be known
    As planes fly overhead
    one realizes
that peace is coming
But while
   the train is passing
we see reality
        become something
that
      must be faced
up to
if one is to learn the power of love

Matthew, the syncronicity of this day is overwhelming, as I am finding every poem I choose to read this day and the last is about renewal, death, tears, etc...while I am struggling with a loved one passing right now. This hit home and speaks voumes, as it's true, it only hurts those on earth, but it is a cause for rejoicing for the one going home - peace. Lovely write, love Kristin
