almost meeting the unicorn king
which one is he? The other steeds wanted to know
the one whose armor and copper lance shine in the snow
is he truly the unicorn king? one of the slower ones asked
I tell you the truth, said the truth-teller; I don’t wear a mask
The rest of them tiptoed around the unicorn king
none of them spoke loudly, most did not say a thing
the very next day he was gone, so they missed their opportunity
we are still kicking ourselves, my cousins and me
