Almost Love
Stop and stare as the time stands still.
The pain hurts, but the silence kills.
Twisted emotions, this feeling's so strong.
My body feels weak, but my mind feels headstrong.
I slip and fall now only to crawl.
Your eyes told the story like a crystal ball.
A soft-friendly touch, I feel of your heart.
It's thumping so loud, I'm ripping apart.
Life makes no sense,this moment so tense.
Contagious emotions are building a fence.
It tears me down that I can't tear it down.
I've got more to live for, and it's wearing a frown.
You make my world spin, and you make it all stop.
Goodbyes make it worse, I spin like a top.
Given no choice but to drive away.
The words left unsaid are too hard to convey.
The click starts to tick, tomorrow comes near.
I held you so dear that it felt like a year.
