Almost Lost It

She almost found out today
She called me out and my face went grey

I never want her to know
The way I see her
It is my source of inspiration
She can not change in my eyes
Or it will be my bittersweet demise

I simple message in a truth box
Maybe too revealing
But at the same time appealing

She figured it was me
I told her no
But how long will it take her to see?

Deep down she is who I truly like
But I don't want to get involved
Around her I have revolved

I hardly ever talk to her though
I simple compliment when I see her will suffice
I just want to be sweet and nice

I can not think what she might say
If she found out how I feel
Her expression and response would be unreal

I will leave these feelings alone
I want to get my life in order
Right now I need to get things straight
Before I can even think of a date
