Almost

I pray thee, keep your almost
and i'll keep your silver platter
ultimatum: pain or boredom?
I'd die before the latter

might as well try to live
even if i fail
because i'm getting tired of "almosts"
and tedium tastes so stale

"I ALMOST learned to fly today."
"I could've crashed and died."
"So almost saved my life today."
because ALMOST never tries

don't think that i can live like that
always wondering, never knowing
what could've been and would've been
if only i'd kept going
