Almost

I am overwhelmed with almost.
It's in everything I see
And everything I do,
Almost all around me.

Water, almost clean.
Food, almost filling.
Tea, almost hot.
Mind, almost willing.

Almost, inescapable,
Yes, I can almost get away.
But almost always finds me
Wherever I almost stay.

See, I almost got to sleep in,
Almost found a four leaf clover.
I almost tried to make a new friend,
Except, my sentence is almost over.

My heart was almost broken
By a love I almost felt.
The pain, it almost killed me,
It almost sent me back to hell.

Then you said you almost missed me,
Which made me feel almost bad.
I've been more than almost distant
Because I'm so much more than almost sad
