Somewhat like my porch..Sara
The air has calmed and clouds amassed Vultures don't soar there's no storm Crows caw near my door join rooster's chorus Trees slowly undress show their form The crispness in the air lends calm Sun rises clear pale yellow_bold Empty feeling presses upon being Is it from season's change to cold Somewhat eerie windchimes stark still Like a lull before the main storm An ominous feeling of abode Or suddenly seeing strange form

Sara, great poetry here, winter here is lovely, no numb fingers or toes.. Bit harder to get out of bed , good sleeping weather....summer the heat and sweat drives you out sooner ...sometimes

Hmmmmm There is a certain feel to this Sara. I could picture a girl standing by the door to her farm house looking out at the front yard. she notices the changes taking place in the weather but there seems to be an ominous foreboding she can't quite figure out. A good write. God Bless, JB

Wow Sara, this is a wonderful write! I have enjoyed this one a lot! "The crispness in the air lends calm " man is that not one of the greatest lines you've ever wrote!! The description of this poem is certainly one of the best!! I can not only draw images with this work but I can also feel everything within it!! Powerful work!!

Well done, captured that strange churning feeling inside when we think of how lucky we are that we are allowed that one more morning whilst everything else begins to die. Yet somehow it is a beautiful calm, before that "main storm". A favorite, this one.
