Alligator Tears
kids in their classroom
sounds of fidgeting abound~
the crack of a gun
a place of learning
students schooled by skilled teachers~
a classroom in shock.
as panic ensues
some will never walk again~
roses mark the spot
a remembered smile
your daughter went to that school~
tears spill from your eyes
impossible sounds
a child armed with a rifle~
schoolmates are shot dead
politicians cry
it rains alligator tears~
students on the march
nothing will be done
guns get sold to the insane~
profits are soaring
it'll happen again
children murdered in cold blood~
thank the N.R.A.
