Allegory of Snow

Listen to poem:
Allegory of Snow By David J Walker The Volunteers of The National Measurement Service Are at it again Remember when So many were made so nervous By a winter wind whipping up Deep drifts of snow The deepest shifts to show How one survived so long ago The volunteers know The volunteers remember 10 years ago in December or wait Was it in February or maybe January Or no It might have been November 20 years ago Anyway This is a Big Snow To be remembered and measured Against memory As the vast and unpaid research department is busy creating the story to fit some sort of a larger allegory About Snow
