When it’s a stormy weekend,
I feel inspired,
To write poems and post

When I go on vacation
I write a poem

If my family make me
Proud, I write a poem,

When I can’t sleep at night
I write a poem,

If I am sad or down,

When I feel happy or joyful,

When it’s Christmas,
I think of my friends,
And write a poem,
To post on Poetry Soup,
If my family is sick,
I stay up and write a poem,
To post on poetry soup,
I owe a friend
For encouraging me
To join Poetry Soup,
I need no excuse
To write a poem
To post on Poetry Soup,
Well done to humour,
Fact, fiction, romance,
Sadness, happy moments,
Contest winners,
All epic and creative
Poems posted
On Poetry Soup,
Whether Winter, Summer,
Autumn or Spring,
Enjoy writing poems

How lucky we are to
Have made genuine friends
