All Things Christmas

A day in front of Christmas
in this season of good cheer,
I’m hoping we don’t miss this:
the true meaning that is here.

We know of all things Christmas
from Santa to mistletoe.
 Do we stop and think, is this
all there truly is to know ?

To remember all things Christmas
is still fun from year to year.
But we are truly richest
when we know that God came near.

So I finish up this poem
with my Soup friends all in mind.
I pray we come to know Him
in these days at Christmas time.
