All things can tempt me in the penning joys And all the skills that crafting verse employs Yet there is something more life does impart To pluck the sweeter strings within my heart It weaves itself with tempo, runes and song For tapestries of romance - right and wrong O' balladries of verse and rhyme can scheme To paint with words the depth of any dream Yet, 'til the last bright bells of life should toll Tis music speaks the language of my soul. ~ 2nd Place ~ in the "Strand Choice K, Any Form, Any Theme" Poetry Contest, Brian Strand, Judge & Sponsor. ~ 8th Place ~ in the "All Things Can Tempt Me" Poetry Contest, Beth Evans, Judge & Sponsor.
