All They Ask For Is Time

Time to comply is all they ask, And if you give it to them, The old and the young, The sick and the lame, The deaf and the blind, Can get the job done, To a standard that will impress, Keeping those who seem fit for the Job, On their toes, And the slackers even more so.

A wonderful poem. It is important to offer the same opportunities to everyone. I know many disabled persons that work harder, and more efficiently than able bodied individuals. Take care David! ~Valerie

Thank you Valerie. I was an Early Childhood Teacher for 30 years and I worry about about the pressure we are putting on the young to comply instantly with requests and it is even worse with children who have learning disabilities who can take up to 2 minutes to complete requests. The same with oldies like myself - was 68 on Jan 1st. I self published book called 'Suffer the Little Children''. Our grandson just turned 3 and we are so glad he did not go to daycare. He is streets ahead of those I taught. Children need space and adventures. thanks again for taking time to read. Best regards David in NZ
