All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us
A silver line of hope unheard
Droplets of tears poured into the oceans
The line between right and wrong blurred
Rebels taking over locations
Liquor doused around our bodies
Light a fire to ignite our blindness
Bloody crimes in all alleys
All smiles filled with sadness
All lines all filled up
For the lonely hearts club
Bodies being aggressively groped
With no consent being shown
Countries becoming war-torn zones
Souls leaving this earth one by one
Blood spilt by different skin tones
I guess the only option is to run.
Earth being left decayed
Everyone left alone and afraid
Take a look at the disaster that's made
What an unnecessary serenade
And after all that’s happened
Where are our saviours?
Our hearts deeply blackened
Why must we seek help at alters?
Aren’t they supposed to come when we’re in distress?
Not even when we scream out an SOS?
Does it cost to walk the stairway to heaven?
Or do we have to fight in the armageddon?
Let the light find a way
The world’s destiny will be weighed
Did everyone’s faith lead to mistrust?
Or have all our gods abandoned us?
