All of My Wishes Have Come True

All of my wishes have come true,
It happened, just as I met You,
A very simple breakfast date,
Utterly changed the course of my Fate!
By our conversation, over food,
You completely elevated my mood,
My life resembled a state of stasis,
Loneliness, alas, its prime basis,
I mourned my loss of the sense of fun,
Thought it unlikely that I would, again, see the Sun!
But, I was wrong, I can report,
You got me back in the game, my favorite sport,
To be in Love, hopelessly, and completely,
From those things you said, so sweetly,
You were so honest, and open,
The very embodiment of what I was hopin’
I don’t know if you knew,
That day, I fell in love with You!
From that time, I was sure I would ever be,
A slave to you, if you even wanted me!
I was so love struck,
I felt as if, hit by a truck!
Each time we are able to meet,
I am captivated by your manner, sweet,
Every time is as the first,
Your beauty does slake my thirst,
For the most valued thing on Earth,
That which we strive for, from our birth,
That would be the Quest for Love,
Our Sacred calling, from Above!
I got lucky, and found You,
But what are you to do?
For me to be as happy as I can be,
It seems, you will be saddled with me!
I hope it is not too big a pain,
To hear me say, “I love you” again.
The biggest thrill since I was born,
To wake up to You, in the morn'!
