All In All

They say Jesus is our rock, our sword and shield
He is the shepherd of our green fields 
Our one and only
They say when you fall down, he’ll pick you up
The times I’ve fallen, I’ve had to crawl
Fight my own battles, bleed through ‘em all 
No, he is not my all in all

I have been strong when I should have been weak 
But no thanks to a God whom I can’t see

I may not be brave or have faced all my fears
But I have the wisdom beyond my years

It may sound harsh to those who’ve had it well

Plagued with demons and nightmares day and night
I can’t tell you the countless times that I
Tried to end it all, tried to take my life
Jealous of the souls that succeed the first time
