ALL IN A NAME

Gladys was old and wrinkled,
Elderly was the word.
Her hair is grey and straight,
Once abundant, and curled.

Her voice became quite hoarse,
Not hoarse like a pony's neigh,
But in a quieter, raspier way.

Gladys remained dignified
Until the day she died
She was an honourable woman.
Whose beauty always shone inside.

Gladys was a lady
Who lived up to her name,
She was born a lady
It says so in her name.

A beautiful tribute to someone of obvious worth. She must have been really quite remarkable to have made such an impression on you. I think she would be very happy indeed to read such a lovely eulogy...very,very pleased! :) john
