All I Want Is You

As I sit here remembering the day we first met
You filled my heart with happiness I won’t forget
A beautiful smile that brightens up my day
Eyes that shine like diamonds under a moonlit sky
Little did I know you were broken inside
As all I wanted was to be by your side
A caring heart for all to see
Hope there’s enough room in there for me
Give me your heart so I can caress
As making you happy is what I do best
I want to hold you in my arms
To protect you from other people’s harm
Time and time others have been mean
As they don’t know how to treat you like a queen
As my love for you keeps getting strong
I look at you and hope nothing will go wrong
I have been hurt many times before
But being with you is all I ask for
