All I Need is You
You say to give you time. I don’t know what you mean.
I waited here for you but your escape was clean.
You told me you need time and, maybe, that is true
But all I need is you.
You want a little space. Some room to stretch your wings.
So, I took one step back and you cut all the strings.
You said you needed space but you’re just passing through
And all I need is you
You need to live your dreams. You want to take taste
Of all that life might offer, naught to go to waste.
A journey toward tomorrow. Find the mystery.
Live for today, you say, but living without me…
You said to set you free to find out who you are,
And if you were to stay you’d never go as far.
You tell me, set you free, so, what else can I do?
But all I need is you.
Time and space and freedom: all just a fond adieu,
But, all I need is you.
Oh, all I need is you…
