All I Ever Wanted

All I Ever Wanted

All I ever wanted
Was to see you smile
Hold you in my arms
Love you for a while

All I ever wanted
Was for you to get a break
Have a lucky outcome
For the choices that you make

All I ever wanted
Was your fortune to be found
To see you hold the joys
They said were all around

All I ever wanted
Was for you to have the love
From the eternal spring
Flowing up above

All I ever wanted
Was your dreams to come true
So you could do the things
You always wanted to do

All I ever wanted
Was for you to have it all
Be atop the world
And never have to fall

All I ever wanted
Was your happiness
Even if I’m not
The reason for your bliss

All I ever wanted
Was to be the man
Who gave you all these things
Maybe someday I still can
