All I Ask

Collected images
Distorted voices
Shallow pits
Staring prophets
My shaded aura
My conscience self
Try to smother
One another
Never to bother
The angry father
Rose red eyes
Like foretelling skies
No time for goodbyes
Just pass by
Haunted by future grief
A thought of release
A plead of mercy
To those more than worthy
As dusk breaks
Birth to a new day
And when it fades
The stars remind
Of another way
