All Hallows Eve

Such eager fingers, from skeletal hands Glowing eyeballs scan parched lands Howling winds that scrape the sky Bat-ish chatter as on they fly Pumpkins glow to mark the way For spirits seek to rise and play Shady windows hide wicked smiles Black cats prowl with patient guile Stalking wolves find willing game Witches cackle ‘round rising flame Thunder cracks and lightning gleams Day of the Dead, it’s Halloween! -Dedicated to my Mother, Halloween Queen and loving friend.
