All Alone
Christ died on the cross
All alone, deserted
That we might never be alone
Always be comforted
When the good Lord left this world
Ascended to His Father in heaven
He sent the Holy Spirit so sweet
A Comforter we were given
The Day of Pentecost
Was the beginning of a mission
Jew and Gentile to receive
What God had in His vision
The Comforter to seek each soul
That they might be renewed
Give peace amidst tragedy
Healing to be assured
All alone Christ was buried
For the garden tomb was empty
No family members before Him
To make the tomb less lonely
But when He was raised
Two angels were at His side
Like the Mercy Seat
Where I High Priest resides
Well never be alone again
For Christ paid the price
For this world’s sinners
His death, once only, to suffice
That we may be redeemed
Be given life everlasting
Should we choose to follow Him
To His plan of salvation yielding.
