Alias
You know my name
that’s my alias
I’ll be for real
When I break down
My walls
& learn to trust
Until then
Silence
Hush
What’s the rush
Not ready to have
The last pieces
Of my heart crushed
Just a way of
Protecting myself from the pain
They say nothing ventured
Nothing gained
I know this
No need to explain
So are you feeling me
Really
Can you understand
What I’m saying
With this delivery
Having a long lasting vision
Of my fake imagery
My mental state
Is like a trinity
You
Me
And what I pretend to be
Living my lie
Is my life preserver
Talking a fast game
But I am a slow learner
I’m finished
Done
Turn of the burner
Look into the mirror
See my reflection
Your life might change
To a new direction
Or stay the same
While burning up in flames
And maybe
Only then
You might know my name…
