Alaska

The captivating northern lights,
translucent shades of aqua blue,
transcending everlasting sights,
possesses a tranquility ever true.

Pure white snow capped peaks,
where bald eagles lightly soar,
creating an aura our spirit seeks,
far from all the inner city roars.

A bear with a cub by her side,
one with nature upon this land,
for in the open one can not hide,
musical splendor without a band.

Moments beneath the warm sun,
contentment beyond all compare,
the mind and spirit become one,
in an atmosphere so rich and rare.

Beautiful Alaska forever to behold,
lies in the wildness for us to share,
warmly inviting, yet frigid and cold,
beckons the brave of heart who dare.
